OH IT IS CHRISTMAS

OH, IT IS CHRISTMASS!
By Jeremy Leariwala

You can hear the carols playing everywhere and the bells jingling in every shop selling gifts. Soon, that all familiar old man in red will start shouting, ‘Ho, ho hooh… It is Christmas again and it is time to rejoice.’
Kids ask a lot of hard questions sometimes. Today I want to think of you playing Father Christmas with this little boy standing in front asking questions. ‘What is Christmas?’ The boy asks and his eyes tell you that he really wants to know what it is. Ho, ho hooh…
Christmas is the birth of Jesus Christ the son of God. It is a special day observed all over the world on 25th December to celebrate the coming to the world of our lord Jesus. It is a festive season in which all Christians come together to pray and remember that day. It is a holiday period where you can travel to see the world and take a break. ‘What do people do on Christmas?’ The boy asks.
Christmas is the time to share. It is the time to show our friendship by eating and celebrating together. The food we have, no matter its size, is always enough to share with others. This is the time to be kind to the less fortunate like a poor man that people always ignore because he is not popular. On Christmas people feel free to tour places that interest them and to give or receive gifts. ‘What if there are no gifts?’ The young boy says.
If you receive no gifts, you will not be the only one! If you could not save for the festival, don’t worry; be happy because God is aware of this. Do your best and next time will be different with more gifts than enough. Make the bells jingle and perhaps the little boy will skip away to join his friends.
Whatever you do during the jolly season, remember your responsibilities. Make Merry because we have a loving God. Your safety comes first and always DRIVES CAREFULLY.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU MY FRIEND!
