Stray Souls

STRAY SOULS
By Jeremy Leariwala
Your dreams are valid!” Lupita Nyongo once said so. I have no doubt that what she said is true. When we are growing up, we all have a goal in life, a dream to pursue and a desire to leave a mark. But somewhere along the way we stray and lose track or slow down our pace.
Stray souls come in many forms. Individuals who step out with clear goals and lose focus along the way are an example. People who are deliberately steered off their course by their detractors are another example. And then there is that other groups of people, who encounter obstacles in their lives, give up the struggle and shift their goal posts in defeat. These are stray souls.
Poor planning or lack of it is a sure sign of a potential stray soul. A person needs to define his journey if he wants to achieve his objectives in life. Those who indulge themselves in drugs or substance abuse along the path of life most of the times end up as stray souls. Same as those weaklings who are overwhelmed by peer pressure and excitement. They all lose focus and end up straying. Like a ship without a course, they end up docking anywhere.
Do you have a clear goal in life? Have you ever written down your wishes in life? How often do you read them just to remind yourself what your desires in life are? Are you a prisoner of drugs or peer pressure? Focus on what you want to do with your precious life. Always remember that with God, all things are possible. Pray! And you’ll never be a stray soul here on earth.
“Let us focus on issues that are beneficial to all of us and shun violence. Let us follow our dreams to prosperity and not to destruction.”
